I was the 1st Assistant Director for this URSA grant funded student film. This was one of the largest projects I’ve worked on with 20+ people involved. I feel my best skills really shine through working on this project. Read below for the details of my responsibilities.
I was the main point of contact for actors, crew, and people involved in the production. I organized and created the shooting schedule, meetings, contact sheets, and put it all neatly in a Google Drive folder. I am really proud of how I organized this production. I worked with the cinematographer to calculate ahead of time the position of the sun for certain scenes (the Alaskan sun moves fast and changes day-to-day!) I created call sheets and sent them to crew and actors. I was as busy on set as I was off. I kept us on-schedule during shooting and on-budget. I was the director’s right hand man; helping answering questions and managing/directing crew.
